Made with a mix of wholemeal/whole wheat flour and some white flour, they achieve that perfect donut epicness it’s different to my epic Nutella Churro Donut Holes. As the bananas were getting mushy, I decided to experiment rather than making another banana cake. Out came the dusty donut pans—a thrilling sight after two months. The result? Nutella stuffed banana bread donuts. For instance, look at that Nutella oozing out—absolutely beautiful, right? However, choosing the right topping was the real dilemma. Would Cream Cheese Frosting pair well with Nutella? Absolutely! Therefore, I decided to sample all three topping options: Warm Nutella, Cream Cheese Frosting, and Cinnamon Sugar. To complete the experience, I whipped up some Donut Holes just to see if they’d work, and indeed, they totally did just like in my Strawberry Cheesecake Donut Holesrecipe. First up, we have Warm Nutella as a frosting. No extras are needed because Nutella stands on its own. As a result, your Valentine’s Day just got more indulgent. Next, we have Cinnamon Sugar Banana Bread Donuts stuffed with Nutella. According to my kids, they rival bakery ones, and that’s a compliment! Amazingly, these taste just like their deep-fried cinnamon sugar cousins, yet manage to set perfectly on the outside while staying fluffy inside. Lastly, there’s Cream Cheese Frosting—it stole my heart, it’s a simplified version on the one topping my Carrot Cake. Perfectly blending cream cheese, banana bread, Nutella, and cinnamon, this topping became an instant favorite.
